Valvular Heart Disease (VHD)

What is Valvular Heart Disease (VHD)?

Valvular heart disease means that your heart valves are not working properly, in one way or another.

One or more of the four valves within your heart are not opening or closing as they should, and this can have some serious health consequences.

Treatment for VHD depends on the valve affected and the issue at hand. Sometimes it is necessary to undergo surgery to repair or replace the heart valve so that your heart can function properly. For more information, give us a call.
