Head Into the New Year With Less Stubborn Fat

As another year draws to a close, many of us look forward to the new year as a time to make some positive changes in life. Ranking at the top of many lists are weight loss and fat reduction, which are tough goals under any circumstance.

While diet and exercise are still great approaches to achieve your body-shaping goals, there are times when you need a little leg up in these efforts.

One such leg up is our powerful fat-busting technology — Zerona®. Here at Humble Cardiology Associates, Dr. Madaiah Revana and our team understand the frustrations that come with weight loss and fat reduction — you do the work through diet and exercise, yet pockets of fat continue to hang on.

Instead of waving the white flag, why not head into the new year victorious with Zerona? Here’s how it works.

Understanding the behavior of fat

One of the main reasons we chose Zerona is because of its approach to body contouring — an approach that understands how body fat operates.

As an adult, you generally maintain the same number of fat cells in your body. Each year, about 10% of your fat cells turn over, but the overall number remains mostly the same.

If you gain weight, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s an increase in the number of fat cells in your body. Instead, your existing fat cells get larger because they’re storing the fat you’re not burning off as energy.

Going in the other direction, when you lose weight, your fat cells release stored fat and shrink back down in size.

Releasing fat with Zerona

The scientists behind the Zerona technology understand the science of fat that we just described above and have come up with a way to help your fat cells release their contents.

Using low level laser energy, we can open up fat cells in your treatment areas, causing them to release stored fat. This is a different approach than some other fat-reduction technologies that rely on heat or cold to destroy fat cells.

With Zerona, our goal isn’t to destroy your fat cells, which will only regenerate after your treatments. By creating pores in your existing fat cells that allow fat to seep out, we work with your body's chemistry to help you lose areas of stubborn fat.

Even better, the Zerona treatments are completely noninvasive — the light energy travels harmlessly through the layers of your skin to target the fat cells below. This means that there’s no downtime after your Zerona treatments, and you can get on with your busy life.

Your results are gradual as your body processes and flushes the released fat, but after a few weeks, a slimmer you emerges.

If you’d like to start the new year with a little less stubborn fat, we invite you to schedule your Zerona appointments with us at one of our offices in Humble or Houston, Texas, by clicking here.
